How do I play Wordle In One?
Use the colored word as your clue, then type a five-letter word and press Enter. Green letters must stay in the same position. Yellow letters belong in another position. Gray letters are absent, except when another copy of that letter is green or yellow.
Do I only get one guess?
No. “In One” refers to the single clue row. You can guess as many times as you need, and the clue stays the same after each attempt.
What’s the difference between Daily and Unlimited?
Daily gives everyone the same five puzzles, with a new set at midnight UTC. Unlimited lets you play new puzzles whenever you like. Switch modes without losing your saved progress.
How do repeated letters work?
Each green or yellow tile accounts for one copy of a letter. If the clue also shows a gray copy of that letter, your answer must contain exactly the number of copies shown in green and yellow, with no extras.
Can more than one answer be correct?
Yes. Any five-letter word in our dictionary that matches every clue counts as a solution. You don’t have to find one specific hidden answer.
Is my progress saved?
Your progress is saved automatically in this browser on this device. You can return to an unfinished puzzle without an account. Progress doesn’t sync between devices, and clearing your browser’s site data removes it.
