Who we are and how to contact us
Wordle In One is an independent word-game website. It is not affiliated with The New York Times. For questions about this policy or requests concerning information you have sent us, use our contact form. Include a reply address if you want a response.
Game progress and personal statistics
The game uses your browser’s local storage to remember daily progress, Unlimited game links, guesses, solved rounds, time spent, and personal statistics. This game history stays in your browser; we do not send it to an account server or synchronize it between devices. It remains until you clear the site’s browser data or the browser removes it.
Your personal statistics are not public rankings. A shared result contains the date, completion counts, tries, time, and a site link; it does not include your answer words. Sharing only occurs when you use the share control. Your device or chosen sharing service handles the destination.
Feedback and contact messages
When you submit feedback, your message and the email address you choose to enter are sent to Formspree for delivery and processing. We use them to respond to questions, investigate reported problems, and improve the game. Do not include passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information. Formspree may process technical information for service operation and spam prevention. See Formspree’s privacy policy.
Messages may be kept while needed to handle the request, investigate an issue, or meet applicable obligations. If you request access to or deletion of a message, provide enough detail for us to locate it. We may need to verify that the request concerns your information.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand site usage, such as page views, referring pages, and browser or device characteristics. Google Analytics can use cookies and similar identifiers. This is separate from the personal game statistics stored on your device. Read Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from partner sites. Google also offers a browser opt-out add-on.
ShareThis
The website includes ShareThis’s third-party script. ShareThis may use cookies or similar technologies and collect information about visits, devices, or interaction with its features for purposes described in its privacy policy. Review that policy for its available choices and opt-out controls.
Advertising and cookies
When Google ads are served, Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies based on your earlier visits to this and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies allow it and its partners to personalize ads using browsing activity. You can manage Google personalized advertising in My Ad Center, and find choices for participating third-party providers at YourAdChoices.
Our ads.txt address redirects to a seller list maintained through the pub.network advertising service. The list identifies authorized advertising sellers; the text file itself does not run tracking code. See Freestar’s privacy information for that service. Where an advertising consent message is displayed, use its controls to review or change your choices.
Hosting and technical information
Cloudflare hosts and delivers the site. Requests necessarily pass technical information such as an IP address, requested address, and browser headers to hosting and security services. These services may process logs for delivery, reliability, and security. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Third-party providers may process information in countries other than your own, under their respective policies.
Your choices
You can manage or block cookies in your browser, use the provider controls linked above, and clear this site’s stored data. Clearing local storage deletes saved game progress and personal statistics. Blocking scripts or storage may limit some features. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of personal information. Contact us about information you submitted directly; provider-specific controls are linked in the relevant sections.
Links and changes to this policy
Links to NYT, Letterkin, answer sources, and other sites lead to services with their own privacy practices. This policy applies to wordleinone.org. We will update this page when the services or practices described here change, and revise the date above.
